How we actually work, in full
Not a philosophy statement. The specific mechanics that make "backed by delivery" a working model rather than a slogan — the seat, the bench, the methodology, and the discipline that holds all three together.
Two roles, deliberately kept separate
Every engagement runs on the same underlying structure, whichever seat it starts with.
The Seat
A named, seasoned operator — someone who has done the job, not advised on it from outside — embeds at board and ExCo level for two to four days a month. They own strategy, governance, vendor relationships and the judgement calls for their function. This is direction, not delivery capacity.
The Bench
When the seat-holder scopes a defined piece of delivery work, our UK and European delivery teams execute it — quoted and governed separately from the retainer, using the same methodology across every practice. One accountable relationship, no second supplier to find.
Why we keep them separate on purpose
Blending governance and delivery into one retainer is how clients end up quietly paying premium day rates for grunt work, or senior operators end up doing execution instead of the judgement they were hired for. Keeping them separate is more honest, and it's the one structural thing none of the individual-fractional or pure-placement providers in this market can offer.
Six stages, applied to every engagement
The same discipline runs through a six-month operating model retainer, a technology migration and a twelve-week sourcing sprint — only the scope changes. AI programmes get exactly the same six stages, not a different methodology because the word "AI" is in the brief.
1. Discover
Diagnostics and opportunity assessment across operating model, technology, data and spend — before a single recommendation gets made.
2. Strategise
A roadmap the board can fund and track, sequenced against real business priority, not the loudest voice in the room.
3. Comply
Regulatory and governance obligations relevant to the engagement — data protection, sector-specific rules, and AI governance where it applies — built in from the start, not retrofitted.
4. Build
The delivery bench executes the defined work — the sprint, the migration, the platform, the restructure.
5. Embed
Capability transfer and change adoption, so the work survives past the engagement rather than reverting the day it ends.
6. Optimise
Ongoing performance tracking against the original business case — and the honesty to say when something should be stopped, not scaled.
Four disciplines, reconciled — never averaged
Every material recommendation is stress-tested through all four lenses before it reaches you. Where they disagree, we say so.
Business & Strategy
Operating model design, business cases, benefits realisation, board-level commercial judgement.
Technology
Enterprise architecture, platform modernisation, legacy rationalisation, build-vs-buy, delivery risk.
Data & AI
Data strategy and governance, AI roadmaps, tooling selection, the gap between demos and production.
Procurement & Supply Chain
Category strategy, supplier negotiation, source-to-pay, resilience, third-party and AI-vendor risk.
A recommendation that sails through all four lenses without friction gets shipped as-is. One that doesn't gets a reconciled view, with the disagreement stated plainly — not smoothed into consensus language that satisfies nobody.
Every number is labelled for what it actually is
A principle carried across every engagement, not just the ones with a spreadsheet attached.
Separated from working capital
EBITDA impact is never blended with one-off cash or capital receipts — the two get confused constantly, and it's how gross opportunity ends up overstating what a programme actually delivers.
Always haircut for realism
A realisation factor is applied to every opportunity estimate to account for overlap and delivery risk — gross potential is not the number we put in front of a CFO.
Labelled as indicative
Every planning figure is marked as an indicative input until it's actually landed and measured — not presented as engagement data before the work has happened.
UK strategy. European delivery. Same time zone, same standard.
Client leadership, governance and the boardroom conversation are led from the UK on every engagement — no engagement is run from offshore. The European delivery centre runs the engineering, data and category-management work the seat-holder scopes: same time zone, English-speaking, fully GDPR-compliant, EU jurisdiction available where data residency requires it.
The Cyprus base isn't a cost play dressed up as strategy — it's genuine access to EU programme frameworks and talent, structured so the person leading your board conversation and the person running your delivery work are on the same page, not in different companies.

Seasoned, battle-hardened — not a euphemism
Every seat is filled by someone who has actually sat in that chair before, at a business the same shape as yours, and made the calls that didn't work out before making the ones that did. That's the bar, and it's why the bench stays at six seats instead of twelve.
